What an entertaining hour of tv! I agree that the BBC should allow the BNP on the show, they have MEPs and so, as much as I hate them, it's ridiculous to simply ignore them. I think Nick Griffin was shown for what he really was tonight. He articulated well when he began his answers to topics he knew would come but when he was asked about the details of his policies/ideas he had nothing to say and could only manage a wry smile. I have to give Jack Straw credit when Griffen claimed he was banned from explaining his holocaust views by law so Straw said "I'm the Justice secretary, you can say what you like and you won't be prosectuted!" Bonnie Greer was also funny and highlighted the utterly ridiculous idea held by Griffin when referring to indigenous Britains.
EDIT: My bad, just checked the figures and their vote increased by 1.3% in the last European election. However, I still think that if they can only manage such a small increase during a major recession and at a time when the publics confidence in MPs is at an extreme low (expenses scandal ect) then they really aren't doing very well at all and I don't think they are likely to be any sort mainstream threat in the near future.
