Hey i can watch tv series on DD that wont even be shown here for months, how will physical media be better for me there?

yes you can, but how does that translate to the Majority of people?

Like i said many people do not even use their Computer for TV function's, to many people Digital Download's

are too, complicated with physical format's just pop the disc in and it work's.

people have been used to that way of watching movies.

Just pop the VHS tape in and it work's, but ask how many people had trouble setting the clock on that VHS. I mean it was a running joke

people had VHS's they played movies on but flashing time clock's. for pete's sake's.

still today you would be suprised how many people still do not even have Email account's let alone know how to work a DVR.

many people just do not have the time to learn those thing's, and need some people like us to help , or do it for them.

until more time passes, Digital Download's taking over physical media is a PIPE DREAM.

IF IT DOES, IT WOULD NOT BE FOR A VERY LONG TIME.

It isn't nearly as hard as you are portraying it. If you can browse the internet, you can get movies. I could teach a 3 year old how to do it. It might even be easier than using a dvd remote.

The rental market already relies heavily on the internet, namely NetFlix. That's how it translates into the majority of people. If they are used to the NetFlix model, then DD is the next logical evolution.

NetFlix is a company that is dedicated to the distribution of content. They have the choice of focusing on blu-ray or DD. NetFlix is so excited about blu-ray, they forget to mention it in their latest commercial. The fact is NetFlix is putting their bets on DD, not Blu-ray. They can see the writing on the wall.

I tell you Im not from the US and I havent heard of NetFlix before they mentioed in these forums. People here rent movies in blockbuster or a similar thing called bazooka which works in a similar way.
