Of course, if you want good graphics you'll be playing it on computer where you can /easily/ render 1080p.
Depends entirely on the game, I can easily imagine current PCs choke on trying to achieve the same things as future and some current SPE tapping PS3 games are and will be achieving (but for cross platform games, top PCs will probably always offer the highest Specs, obviously such games are not designed specifically with the PS3 in mind).
And personally I only have a 17 inch LCD for my PC and don't like a bigger screen on my desk and I prefer playing from my couch anyway and for many games the PS3 controller IMO is much more suitable. It's not just about wanting good graphics.
