I predict that DD will gut TV DVD/Blu-ray sales within a couple years. I'm not saying there won't be collectors, but for the majority of people, the instant access to content is more than enough. Why buy a season of some show, when you can watch any episode at any time for less money?
Even Sony is building in this capability into their TV sets. It won't be long before most TV sets will have built in internet. When this happens, DD will accelerate by leaps and bounds.
Anyone can guess. It takes no effort to throw out lots of predictions and have some of them be correct. You are not and wiser or better for having your guesses be right. Even a blind man can hit the bullseye.
