It sounds more like a game that will give you a relaxing break from the high stress action of more mature games. It sounds neat and so what if it's aimed at kids and girls? Fun is fun. I don't like to categorize, "fun".
At least with this game, you are guaranteed to be be more popular with the girls since you guys can play with it together, and it'll keep any kid in your house out of your hair. You can also think of it as a cheap easy way to keep a pet. :) Nothing wrong with finding enjoyment in a game not aimed at your demographic. More power to those who buy a game for what it offers, not how people will look at you.
