The only way an install would benefit a game like this is if you installed the WHOLE game on the hard drive excluding the FMV videos. Other games have installs for loading the game quickly because the important asssets that get reused all the time are on the hard drive. So 3d fighters for example where the characterstage modelstextures can be realisticlly installed because they don't take much space. Talk about ignorance. |
FF games are definitely not that linear doobie. For some FF's it's linear when you start, but there are many times when you get to choose what you want to do, how to do it and where to go. It's just generally not non-linear in terms of story, but not in what you choose to do. Also, it has always been a free roaming series.
