One core game I really want to play now is Killzone 2, that game has the best hardcore/moody sci-fi look without being remotely cartoony, before it I thought Gears of War was the best looking. The thing is, Wii can never have this type of graphics period, instead, realistic styled wii games usually have blocky pupety human heroes, which sorta makes things seem less serious. All core games look like this a few years ago right? but this gen the level has been raised and its just not the same. I do not want to play Killzone 2 if they port it to Wii, because it would suck.

Another game is Dirt 2, came out on all 3 consoles, looks kickass on HD consoles, but look at it on the Wii.

I think for developers, having tasted the palette available in HD systems, its hard for them to want to hold back and put effort into "a lesser" game for the Wii, because its so limiting, not that it can't be done, look at Monster Hunter Tri, which looks amazing, in an interview the developer said all systems has its limitations, on the Wii, if they could not put a cluster of 5 trees, they will just put less (interview here).

Besides this, I think most people are skeptical of 3rd party games on the wii, because there are so many shitty games for this platform and the bastards at Ninty keep selling expensive peripherals like the Wii balance board, which sucks everyones wallets dry :)
