Gears 2, and year Horde above the other console MP.
About the controls... I think Gears movement being slow is also something that helps with the controls feeling right... you're moving a human tank around, turning slowly isn't shocking and it also lets you be more accurate.
Heck it's the only shooter I think i'd prefer with a controler over a M+K
