New technology won't really be cheaper than 5 years tech whose price keeps going down....
And I don't think Sony is looking into taping 2 PS3 together and calling it a PS4.
As for the losses incured it is true, but starting a new gen to incur even more losses doesn't look like a good solution either :P
PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !
PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !
