Actually, you are asking for advice on how to deal with your parents. You may not have actually been drunk, but per the law, you were. I personally think the law needs to be revised, but until MADD is crushed, it won't be, it will just keep getting more strict. Anyway, you drove with a suspended license, and THAT is where you went wrong. Now your parents are driving you everywhere and keeping you from driving yourself so your license does not get suspended even longer. They are doing you a favor, you would do well to appreciate that.

Anyway, I see your point that they are in fact doing me a favor, and I should be grateful for all the help they've given me (I am, trust me), but doesn't taking the keys away seem a little 'too' parental for a 20 year old?

Alright I'll come up with a valid worst case scenario: Say I continue to drive anyway, despite their disapproval of it (they've always disapproved, but they didn't take the keys away until now), and I do get pulled over a second time...what happens to them? Absolutely NOTHING. They kick me out and they don't have to worry about driving me or the criminal proceedings. That'd simply be the end of it. So in actuality, it's easier for them to just let me drive. I'm the only one taking a risk here.
