i havent made up my mind on it and dont want to belittle the service, as i'm interested in it myself. I just bought a 50" Panasonic Full HD TV and ordered a xbox 360 aswell.

But i just watched 108ßp movies for the first time and saw lot of differences in the video quality as they often differ in video bitrate numbers and therefore also have better or worse picture quality even when they are all in 1080p.

So i was wondering how they can achieve a great video quality with only 4mbps stream compared to Blueray where the bitrate is around 30mbps.

I asked myself the same question as soon as I saw the HD movies on Xbox Live marketplace. They were like 6GB in 720p with 5.1 sound. I thought how this could be possible, but I tried it so I can form my own opinion. Well, the picture quality for Batman Dark Knight was VERY impressive.

I do own some HD-DVDs which I bought for 4€ / movie after HD-DVD was dead and the quality was almost the same. I was impressed. Even my father said that this looks very good. I do not give a *beeep* about bitrate etc etc as long as the result is as good as it is.

You should go ahead and just give it a try. When you get your Xbox 360 buy / rent 2 or 3 movies and make your own decision. Hopefully you will be impressed, too.
