Microsoft : we generate more $ per customers because we charge for Internet connection while our competitors give it for free and we sell proprietary accessories that cost an arm and a leg...( 100$ wifi anyone ?)

Hurrah !

well the thing is I think Microsoft's whole point is you can upgrade over time, some advantages to doing it that way.

for example the same example you gave:

the new wifi expansion will include "n" which is a further range Wifi

and with the PS3 you would also have to buy a USB Wifi device with "N" capability if you wanted that function

of greater Wifi range also

but unlike the xbox360 you cannot remove the built in wifi in the PS3

it's kind of a waste for the PS3 to get an extra USB Wifi adapter just for "N"

but for the xbox360 it's a good upgrade but that depend's on if you think the price is ok for the upgrade

and that's what Microsoft gave the consumer.

not to say For me It's not that big of a deal because i use cat 5 anyway. but for some its a nice way to get into the game system and upgrade the system over time. pretty much like  HOW you upgrade the PC.

PS3 ships with WiFi, 360 does not...

And honestly you got to live in a 10th century 5000 square feet castle to require N wireless support....

It's not like you're going to take your 360 out and try to use it in the middle of a park to grab a wifi signal coming from 1000 yards away....

How about HDD ? You know you can replace the PS3 one with any third party 2.5 inch laptop drive right ? Whereas the 360 requires you to purchase an overpriced Microsoft HDD..

PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !
