Microsoft and Turn 10 Studios will soon be launching their massive racing title, Forza 3. Sporting sharp graphics, realistic simulation, extensive amounts of cars and tracks, Turn 10 Studios has spent a lot of time to craft the best racing experience possible for Xbox 360 owners. While talking with Major Nelson in his latest podcast, Dan Greenawalt, Forza 3 Game Director, shared a lot of information about the title’s physics, cars, and other future plans.

Towards to the end of the interview, Major Nelson goes to gamer questions and asked Dan how he feels Forza stacks up to the Gran Turismo franchise.

When asked how they think they stack up against GT, Dan answered:

"Gran Turismo is a great game. It’s been a huge franchise, a huge part of many gamers kind of history of their gaming and I got a lot of respect for Kazunori Yamauchi and his whole team at Polyphony Digital. You know, GT5: Prologue isn’t a full game obviously, so it’s not far to compare to that. I don’t know when GT5 is going to come out, so we’ll see. What I do know is that I think our visions, the vision of Kazunori and the vision that I have for getting car passion out of people, I think are very similar. The execution is very different, we’ve got this commitment to this modern game design having the most cutting-edge physics, embracing UGC, embracing community, that I don’t think it is part of his vision, and it’s not meaning he’s lacking or not, it just means there’s a difference."

YEAH its another Forza & GT thread

BUT this time Turn 10 have made a very balanced statement, a very fair one....imo they couldn't have answered the question better {claps}

+ I agree....Yamauchi's vision was different....now he is changing it slightly!

I've highlighted the relevant question.  The Forza dev was asked, specifically, about GT.  How are they supposed to answer that question without mentioning GT?

Answer: they can't.  At least they weren't being pricks this time, so I really don't understand why you're complaining.
