Two words, "European Union", Oh hey, how about the U.N. Anybody country belonging to the UN MUST adhere to U.N. laws. What U.N. law does not cover, is free to be "interprated" by the individule countries. It's kinda like all the countries in the U.N. are states, and the U.N. is a central governing system. This is the format that will be followed. Believe me, this is something the far left radicals want, will they acvhieve it so soon, probably not. The guy in the video is taking this to extremes. IF such a "treaty" is signed, we WILL still enjoy some of our freedoms, however, we WILL be beholdened to a socialist style central governing system. This WILL take away many freedoms we now take for granted. If Obama does sign such a treaty (and I wouldn't put it past him) all I can say is, "How's this for change?"

The UN is utterly powerless without the will of it's member states driving it. The UN has certainly done some good in helping to curtail global conflict, but ultimately it has no ability to directly influence it's sovereign members, and certainly not any of the seeded Security Council members.

Erm, you forget about sanctions. A sanction is a very powerful tool, one that the U.N. has and will use. Contrary to your belief the U.N. does make some "global" laws that dictate what a country that is a member can or cannot do. These laws do circumvent the country's own laws. More times than not, the majority of U.N. members will agree to sanction an offending country, and THIS is why the U.N. is more effective than you want to make it out to be. Anyway, I believe this is the format that a one world government will follow.
