The Xbox had a lot of great games .And ,at the end of its life ,it was getting nearly all the western software along the PS3.It missed the japanese games ,but it had some few exclusive japanese games of high quality as Ninja Gaiden or Panzeer Dragoon Orta .
MS did a good thing for themselves killing the machine ,but not so for the userbase .I was quite happy with my Xbox and Cube and suddendly the Cube was as good as dead and the Xbox was dead and even its remaining games werent released in my country by MS .
But the Xbox wasnt going to win the PS2 ever ,and by rushing the 360 and killing the Xbox they managed to accelerate the transition to the next gen and forced Sony to release the PS3 before stipulated and at high cost and with not too much software developed for it .So it was a good move from MS point of view ,if they sticked with the Xbox many users would have waited before rushing for the 360 ....but killing the Xbox so soon meant for them they had to buy a new console and the only one disposable was the 360 .
Too bad that rushing the 360 also meant no HD player ,no BC with Xbox games ,red rings of death etc .
