It's kind of a wide gap between the sloppy guy who doesn't give a toss what they look like and that guy the article starts with.
There is really nothing going against a man showering and having good skin, and some smart clothes, and it doesn't get anywhere near to sounding like some dumb blonde/bored housewife/cosmopolitan freak stereotype.
