They've lost their JRPG stronghold, the number of AAA exclusives gap is closing, and the sales gap is closing. On top of it, they're still losing money. They need a cash infusion to pursue things like heavier advertising, seducing developers, and paying for Natal development. |
If you're lucky? Yeah, OK. You might be lucky if you find it for under $30, but it's pretty easy to get 12-13 months for under $40.
This really is one of the dumber Pachter quotes. You can try to rationalize this one as much as you want but they aren't raising the price of Live and Pachter only says completely retarded things like this because he wants one thing: page hits.
He knows a headline like that will make people flip out, click the link, get him advertising dollars and hopefully read more articles.
