If M$ wanted crazy sales for Halo ODST, they could have launched the game at $39.99 or even $49.99 MSRP...it probably costthem 10-12 million to produce the game, and another $20 or so to market it...and they sole what in week one? Halo's power is waning...are you freaking high on crack?!?

I believe they sold 1.8 million day one and 400,000 the rest of that week, and they haven't sold many more since then.  Even all of the old Halo fans didn't buy ODST.  And, it sold very poorly to new customers.  When a franchise is considered to be the only great one of its kind, then it is easy for it to have good sales.  However other games have started to carry a mindshare with average consumers and as a result Halo sales will be lower than they used to be.

Rage isn't it coming out next year?  And Crysis 2?  They will also impact the next Halo game's sales.

Halo ODST has sold nearly 3 million so far.

Killzone 2 is at 1.98m and Resistance 2 is at 1.67m is that your mindshare?  LOL  those games will never be in the same league as Halo.  And if they give any ideas as to how their sequels are to perform I wouldn't hold my breath.
