The Pistole is amazing in close quarters. Just blind fire when you get near them and they'll go down in the first shot usually. Just be sure to have a long range weapon as your primary.
I recall seeing a post by a Naughty Dog employee that they would be seperating the competitive and co-op stats in the near future.
