I know what you're thinking but no I don't use emulators or Roms. Let me explain:
About a month ago, I was playing my copy of Magician (NES) my dad got for me, back when we lived at our first house, from some creepy old street merchant in the back allay. I was couldn't play back then because we only had the SNES.
Surprisingly, I was able to play it all the way through without dieing or getting hit once. Before the game ended out of some weird urge I pressed -
| ← ↑ → ↓ a b a b a b a b a b a b a b a b ← ↑ ↑ → ↑ → ↑ → ↑ ↑ ↑ ← → ← → ← → → ← → b a a a a a b a a ← ← ← ← ← ← ← ← ← ← ← ← ← ← ← ← ← ← ← ← ↑ ↑ ↑ ↑ ↑ ↑ ↑ ↑ ↑ ↑ ↑ ↑ ↑ ↑ ↑ ↑ ↑ ↑ ↑ ↑ → → → → → → → → → → → → → → → → → → → → → → → → → → → → → → → ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ |
- I forgot the rest but when I pressed start a strange select screen appeared that showed all the games that ever came out on the NES and all of them I was able to play and even save at any point. I was totally amazed until I called my friend up and he was like "Dude, I did that like 13 years ago".
So anyway, the games so far I think are impossible to do without savestates are the 1st Megaman, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle II.

You own a Nintendo cart that has a code that unlocks every other NES game ever, all with the option to save and you magically stumbled across this by some crazy A Beauitful Mind code breaking? This is saved on the cart or the NES? Why am I even responding to this lunacy like it could be real?
