Might want to consider getting both Sonic 3 & Sonic and Knuckles, That way for the first time since the Sega megadrive games Knuckles is playable in Sonic 3 due to BC.
Edit: Streets of Rage 2 is 2 player, so you and your lady can both kick the hell out of Mr X's thugs......... win win.
