It is short only when you don't finish it. 
If you truly want to get a hang of the game, you definately have to put a LOT of time into it. You could beat it in 15hrs, but if you want to do everything in it, and level up to areas where you can do some really cool things battle-wise as well as play online, you definately will be spending 50+ hrs. The graphics are probably the worst thing it it, but they are also the least important. Basically, if you are a reviewer who is playing the game because you "have" to, you will finish the game in a very short time, and find the game to be really boring. If you are somebody who wants to perfect the game(because there is A LOT of customization) you will be playing the game 5 to 10 times more. The combat starts out really boring and slow, but once you customize everything to perfection it is truly fun. For example, if you read my earlier posts I mentioned magic being slow and hard to pull off. Now I'm enjoying it so much that I can choose what passive skills to put, and what spells to use. So yeah, that is my opinion on it. BTW, I don't listen to any "professional reviewer" anymore. I find my gaming tastes don't match anywhere near what they have.
