With the PS3's life span not even halfway over (and the fact that I own a PS3 and not a PS4) I'm hoping it would be for the PS3. Naughty Dog has the engine in place and it's still pretty damned impressive. Keep using it! It could be like the Tomb Raider series from the PS1, where a new one comes out every couple of years, except this time, not suck.
