I have owned 3 different Sony digital cameras and they all used the proprietary memory discs instead of SD cards. Is that the case with every camera Sony makes? I don't know, but I do know for a long time it was. My R4 example still stands, neither of the items I described were licensed so Microsoft or Nintendo could do what they can with them. What is the big deal here? I paid the extra money for the sony memory stick pro duo and had no problems about it. BECAUSE I BOUGHT A SONY CAMERA. It costed more than a cheap SD card but thats just to damnd bad because they weren't licensed by sony at the time. Get over it and move along. All companies make money where they can................................. |
that's not the problem here!. microsoft and sony are free to sell hardware for their own devices. or use tech they want even if propietary.
what microsoft it's preventing here it's a third party due hardware,
sandisk makes memory sticks and they work on sony cameras,.
the problem here it's microsoft it's a 2.5' HDD, and third parties are now being banned from the consoles, sony doens't ban third party memory sticks, but they are not responsable if it works or not. almost all the times they work.
and nintendo allows other kind of third party accesories, what they don't allow it's R4 which allow piracy.
you don't have to use nintendo SD cards... you can use sandisk or panasonic, same for the ps3 you don t have t buy ps3 headset, u can use any bluetooth one.
