I didn't dislike it, but I wasn't impressed at all. My complaints:
We beat the main campaign in 4 hours. There was another mission after it to unlock arcade mode, but it wasn't very fun and neither is arcade mode. There is no co-op. Lack of a cover system or any squad commands in a military style FPS is inexcusable. The gameplay is nearly identical to CoD2. For some reason my enemies and my allies can duck behind cover and open doors but I'm not allowed to. I guess my character has down syndrome. Also, the levels are too linear to allow for any tactics such as flanking.
The enemy AI is just screwed up. First of all, the AI is apparently made up of Peyton Manning and Tom Brady clones because they can drop a grenade between your shoes from 100 yards out. The grenade indicator blows, so you never notice it until too late. Second, they often charge at you like bulls. I understand that good AI is difficult, but seriously, at least don't have them run at you head on.
The multiplayer was definitely the strongest part, but there are only 6 game types, and no CTF. No vehicles really sucks. Again, it's a war-style FPS and it's supposed to have a squad feel. No vehicles really detracts from this.
Well, with the bad out of the way:
The class and perks system is pretty awesome. It has some great customization options, and it's a really creative addition to the multi-player. There are a solid 16 multiplayer maps, although about half of them suck. The game has the best graphics of the generation to this point, and is the closes to photo-realistic any FPS game has come.
Overall - it's a solid FPS, but it's missing a lot of features it should have, and despite the gorgeous graphics, it really feels too much like Call of Duty 2. Both my friend and I agreed though that it was a good thing we rented it instead of bought it.
