COD 4 how do you like it so far?

I haven't had a chance to play it online because apparently the PS3 (and PC too?) suffers from online problems that I guess the 360 had gotten fixed in the multiplayer beta, but the singleplayer is good.

The story is good, but not amazing. I do wish that the entire game was not only longer, but I think they could have done more with some of the missions. I liked the American missions in the Middle East a lot because it was a massive firefights and the environment and feel of the levels were very intense. However, there weren't enough missions and you soon find the Middle East campaign over (wont spoil the story). The SAS missions felt too covert op for me. At least for most of them (with last missions of the game being the exception) because I like the large scale battle feeling that Infinity Ward puts out compared to other war games. Despite that, the last levels and the ending were pretty cool and intense.

I've tried the demo on my PC and I was able to have it look fairly well without my FPS being too low, but I think a new video card is in order as I'm covered in other areas with my recent upgrade to other parts. This game is awesome on the PS3. It not only looks great, but it's also smooth as silk when it comes to the frame rates and I could notice a small drop in frame rates at a couple of points in the game, but that was a small drop and pretty rare (kind of like Resistance: Fall of man, smooth as butter and fast paced).

The gameplay is good and it feels well balanced. The enemies take cover more than in COD2, but the material mechanic is a neat feature by letting you shoot through walls or objects to hit your target. The sound is just as good and turning up our 5.1 surround sound engulfed the room in battle, which was awesome.

Apart from the length of the game and the shortness of the Middle Eastern campaign, the other complain (somewhat) I have is how much it resembles COD2. Obviously it's not a negative, but it almost feels like COD2 with better graphics and better scripted scenes, but whatever it's still awesome.
