It would be much better on everyone if there was just one console. All games would be better, all features would be better, cost would be lower, options would be better, etc.
All it would take is a good organization formed between the major console parties (Sega, MS, Sony, Nintendo, and maybe one or 2 more) that could then split production, license fees, royalties, online network and revenue, etc. In the end developers would be able to make more games, better, and cheaper for the consumer, giving us more choice and enjoyment for our dollar, and that would mean more profits to the console organization.
