If Natal fails, What's next for Microsoft (Xbox360) ?

Well of course Halo won't end with Halo: Reach.  That's the start of a whole new storyline (well sorta. will probably follow the books then and branch off with the other remaining spartans).  As far as Gears of War, I'm sure they'll either do different stories or Epic would start a new IP.

I hope you aren't trying to say this in a bad way or imply this is all MS does, because they bring about many new IPs as well.  This generation alone has seen many new IPs start thanks to the 360 and I'm sure that will also continue with their next console.

I had the impression that the series would end with Halo 3, and then when that was shattered, Halo: Reach. Now I just think it will go on forever. Gears of War will certainly go on for a while, it's a big cash cow for Epic. Now, I'm not saying that all Microsoft does is milk big series, but it's a big source of money for them and I doubt they'll stop it any time soon.
