Even if some of his points on UGC are valid, saying Miyamoto should retire is just...wrong.

Can somebody who has read most of Malstrom's articles tell me what his objective are? What does he want to happen, what's his "vision"? I know he's an enemy to the industry and wants it to collapse. But is he standing up for a better world of gaming, or is he just another angry videogamer who thinks his opinion should be law...

Malstrom has noticed that Nintendo has been less focused on creating new content lately and I believe he sees them going more and more into that direction. He thinks that it will eventually destroy them. He doesn't want what happened to Atari to happen to Nintendo because a lot of talent and never came back or something like that.

Ever hear people say "Nintendo needs to make new IPs" that because they've been mostly making the games with the same characters for a long time now. I don't know if this is Miyamoto's doing but Malstrom thinks so from all the interviews he's been quoting. His recent Joystiq interview talking about pursuing User Generated Content seems to point that way.

The reason it seems wrong to gamers for Miyamoto to retire has to do with all the idol worship he gets from them. They are willing to overlook or ignore any mistakes he makes and has made because most gamers now has grown up with one of his games.
