Why does everyone care about damage so much? You've all been squabbling about which one is the better "sim"....but if you were to take damage into account for them being "sim"...then technically NEITHER are! Because if you crash into a wall at 135mph, you don't just get a scratch, and maybe a loose bumper. The whole front of the car crumples, and the car becomes undriveable. Until these games can simulate that, the damage in either game is moot.

But I'm sure you guys don't want a game in which a car doesn't drive after a big crash...but you're screaming for "reality". Get over yourselves. And stop making F3 vs. GT5 threads. It's getting old

Fatal crash damage is probably the most unimportant damage aspect in a sim racer.  It is the things that happen more often that matter most.  What is the internal damage done to the car when you bump someone?  What are the aspects of damaging your tires?  Damage caused by misusing the clutch?  Damage to tires due to cornering improperly?
