| Ultibankai said: M.A.G is indeed a persistent online game, maybe you all should read up about it again. Even when you aren't online the war is still raging and the next time you log in things are going to be different. It is indeed an MMO, or more precisely: a MMPOFPS. In terms of the number of players for Dust 514, if people had actually bothered to watch the interviews they would have found out that the game will have more than 16, but less than 256 players. Huxley is no longer coming to consoles, didn't you guys know these things already. I mean most of this stuff is really OLD. MMPOFPS: Massively Multiplayer Persistent Online FPS. |
It seems your missing the point. It's just maps. There is no one big world. Can you walk for hours to get to another town? Fighting AI enemies in the wild to level you up? Can you join parties with other human players and enter some area to do a quest? NO. So although the war continues on, there is no REAL MMO persistance to the game. Imagine WOW with just maps where every time you played you fought other human. That would be a completely different experience and not classed as an MMO.
