If Natal fails I'm pretty, depending on MS positioning at that time, that they will either start work on 720, or they will just ride out the rest of the generation on the backs of their current sales.
Xbox 360 has done enough already to be called a success. If Natal is successful, then it will reach new heights for an MS console. But as it stands they have nothing to lose if it fails.
