There was a post earlier about them not covering a warranty because it was plugged into a surge protector. This all seems a bit ridiculous.
In the case of the dust, I would probably submit a complaint to the better business bureau. I had to do that once with my bank after fighting their "customer service" department. They promised me I would never see my money again. After I reported them I had every last cent deposited back into my account by someone from corporate. Sometimes you have to show them you won't take it. Generally someone higher up will resolve the problem when it reaches that far.
