I dont think you can sue them, but Sony can if they have proof that they talk against Sony reputation with false information. But dont forget that a big part of the role of a salesman is to depending on customers needs, restrict customer choices to only 1 machine by enphasing the pro and con the customers does or doesnt want. So I can sell a Bosch or Miele appliance to someone and then sell a frigidaire appliance to someone else and make the Frigidaire one looks better at the eyes of the consumer (while Frigidaire is one of the worst brand, bosch/miele the best one). The important is just to sell the right thing to the right person, and to not give false information in order to sell another product. In the past (2 years ago) I can see many reason why someone would suggest getting an Xbox 360 over PS3 without lying about the PS3. |
In the video I posted. The guy said LBP is coming to Xbox 360 to the woman (if he's telling the truth), which changed her mind about buying a PS3. That is completely false, and he could easily be sued for spreading false info.
