I find this interesting that to expand to the higher capacity discs, you'll need new drives to read them.  I guess this is like all technology but after reading this, I'm holding off on PS3 all together.  I enjoy my PS2 but wasn't planning on buying a PS3 until the price came WAY DOWN from that original $600 tag.  Now it's lower but not low enough for my wallet.  And if it dropped to $150, I don't think I'd get one anymore considering this article.   I wonder if Sony would update the PS3 with a newer disc drive for the 100GB+ discs?  The excuse of PS3 as a cheap BR player is no good any more considering I'm seeing Blu-Ray players as low as $119 online.  Does anyone think that the game developers will try to push their games to 100GB discs and beyond.  I just can't imagine this.  I was happy with simple DVD format.  Guess I'll have to wait and see what happens with PS3 and price and BR over the next 6 months to a year.  I like 360 but I just don't like MS and all the problems I've seen.  I'm completely happy with my Wii but do like games that are exclusive to PS3.

Consoles owned: NES, N64, PS1, GC, PS2, Wii.
