Yep I got through a good portion of the game without a hitch. Then I got my first freeze on the train scene which was no biggie. But this last freeze actually shut down the console and it started flashing that red light. The weird thing is that it wasn't a particularly intense scene. Actually it happened while I was looking at Drakes journal.
What else is weird is that the PS3's fans weren't even spinning. As I said it's really cool in my house. My honest opinion? Is that the game is actually putting too much pressure on the cell itself. It wasn't the system that was hot but the processer. Just to be sure I actually tested my PS3 fans (which is a feature I think is only on the 40 gig models), they are working fine.
