| Badassbab said: Comparing Halo Xbox vs Halo PC is misleading. First of all it came out much later so it lacked the initial freshness and wow factor everyone had already experienced on the Xbox (which most likely affected the scoring) and second of all PC gamers have different tastes and a holier than thou attitude to console games which is reflected on the scoring as well. |
I find all fanboys have a holier than thou attitude, whether PC, 360, PS3, etc.
My point is I would argue the PC score is closer to the title as an FPS vs the console score (at launch vs when it actually hit PC). The game had clear and fairly noticeable flaws that were ignored by many reviewers as overall the game seemed amazing on Xbox.
I think Halo was a great title at the time, but no game with such poor level design for the interiors, Library, etc. vs the nice exterior levels and set-pieces, that so clearly showed the result of rapid 'padding', should really have scored as high as Halo did on Xbox IMO.
Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
