People who are homophobes are also often the same people who are racists and there is no racist justification in the bible there.
People only pick out the one thing because they already want to believe that one thing, aren't that one thing and want to ignore all the many other things that suggest they're pissing god off.
Scientifically speaking as well... a very large percentage of homophobes appear to be gay themselves. They've done scientific studies on it... it involved porn, and some intersting machines. Amusingly Lesbian porn is used as a control.
