Well, just a word of warning, my dad bought a cheap HDMI cable and it didn't work, so as long as you get it froma  reputable place, you should be ok. Also Viva Pinata is awesome. You should download the demo!

  Well you shouldn't be going below 10$ on the HDMI 1.8m cable but anything in $10-20 range will work perfectly and there's no need to buy one of those "high quality" HDMI cables
