Lvl1 time stop and Lvl2 lighting is enough to get through the whole game with the sole exception of the trolls. You won't even get hit, if you are somewhat dexterous. Just spam area time stop, area lighting. Of course higher levels will make the process easier and quicker, but the game handles you an unbeatable combo straight off the gipsy camp.
Far before you can get any decent weapon, I might add.
