no, that will be all those ps magazines......

OT

arent these comparisons getting a little bit boring now.

Yes.  I mean we know the rules by now:

1 - exclusive 360 title - will look good unless developer is a hack

2 - exclusive PS3 title - will look good unless developer is a hack

3 - multiplatform developed without a lead platform (CoD4, etc) will look equal on each (minor differences due to different GPU rendering, etc. aside) unless developer is a hack, in which case the title will suck on PS3 and be marginally better on 360

4 - multiplatform developed with PS3 as a lead (Bourout Paradise, etc) will look equal on each (minor differences due to different GPU rendering, etc. aside) unless developer is a hack, in which case both PS3/360 titles will be average

5 - multiplatform developed with 360 as a lead will favour 360 which will have marginally better fps/textures unless developer is a hack, in which case PS3 version will suck and 360 will be average

6 - multiplatform developed with 360 as a lead and ported to PS3 by another developer will favour 360 which will have noticably better fps/textures unless developer is a hack, in which case PS3 version will suck and 360 will be average

7 - PC/360 only titles will look okay on 360 and better on PC unless the developer is a hack, in which case both will normally suck (there is a special case here for developers that run out of money or are stuggling, who will cancel and annouced PS3 version to focus on 360/PC to try and salvage something - Velvet Assassin for example)

Special cases to note within the above:

1 - PC orientated developers will almost always produce titles that look better on 360 vs PS3

2 - Developers without good knowledge of PS3 will produce marginally better 360 versions by default due to easier (for the average developer) SDK and development environment

As ever they tell us nothing about the consoles native power, which is better, etc. only about the relative coding skills of the developer and their experience on the platforms being supported.

Both PS3 and 360 have too many good looking titles for the HW to be behind any weakness in a title, that's down to the developers and how they brought the title to market.

So again, yes, these comparison's are getting boring.  They are like a tired relic of an old war, and they are only of any use to a small minority who have both consoles and no firm favourite for multiplatform titles, which I suspect is probably a small minority of a small minority by this point in the gen.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
