It is good to identify with a fellow fan, but on that note you will understand if I do not give a crap about problems. Psychonauts is still one of my favorite games, and it is almost brutally flawed.

I'm buying it too... just saying it's not a 9 game, objectively, in any way. Look: There's a difference between your favorite game, and the best game ever made. There are standards of quality development that this game is clearly lacking. Again, I love Tim Schafer, and I will buy this game, but as a piece of software, it has major quality issues that are easily visible.

Bearing in mind that I am someone for whom positive qualities can transcend the problems created by flaws, you will understand if I am less worried than you about the blemishes marring the face of something whose other features I find immaculate. There is no objective measure of total quality: I will bear this discussion in mind for future conversations, but I will judge, for myself, whether or not the game is a 9.

Subjectively, of course.

Hell, Psychonauts was a 9, no reason this can't be that good...
