It depends, because that strategy only is trully useful against Omega Mark II, I have tried it against other bosses like Yiazmat and Zodiark and it's a resoundful fail, especially against Zodiark :P
So I guess that Reverse and Decoy is really more of an experiment to see how gamers are paying attention to all the spells they are using, instead of using the same ones over and over again (Shock and Purge i'm looking at you).
