Yes I'd have to say the Body theif was second best but I didn't read Memnock or any after that.
I thought the Vampire Lestat was unbelivably bad and the Queen of the Damned was by far the worst.
I read somwhere that Rice wrote Interview shortly after she had lost a child and poured a lot of emotion into the characters as a way to deal with her Grief. That's probobly why the story is so believable. Definately my favorite book. It wasn't untill many years later that she wrote the sequal and was in a different state of mind so she decided to make Lestat the protagonist. I fount them to be too fantastical and over-indugant.
