Nope, I want him to talk about present sales with the most recent available data. At present, the PS3's sales have slowed. He took a snapshot from just after the price cut, ignored more recent data, and extrapolated the old data to suggest something that the current data contradicts.

Obviously, it's misleading. He knows this. But he can reasonably say "old data said this it's all I had" even if that's not true.


I don't agree with you. There have been four full weeks since PS3 price drop. So he passing over only one week, that's not much and you don't really know if he knew (in the time when he was making his statement) this week's sales or not. I don't know if you have read the entire statment but he also said that
"if the momentum continues," Sony will certainly hit its target of selling 10 million PS3s worldwide by the end of its fiscal year. So I don't see any extrapolating here as he preciesly wonders about what will happen.
