Is the online low lag and fun, do you have to know friends or can you play with random people easily?
Friends, the OP has a whole bunch of people to add though. You can't play with anybody else. Oh and the online has very little-no lag.

Only thing you can do online is side quests, and there is only about 15 or so to do. It is more for money and items.It is fun to see how your partners fight, other than that not really.

Friend codes. It is better to PM other people who you added at the start. After a while you should have enough people to have a game going at any time.
The online is the main reason I am thinking of getting this game.
Please don't get this game for the online alone. You Will be dissapointed. The main focus is single player, the multiplayer is what feels like a tacked on extra.
