Crysis will continue to hold the graphics crown until the next Crysis is released.
That being said, I guarantee that at the time of release the cost of a PC that can play Crysis 2 on ultra-high will be the same as all current gen console and hand-helds combined (maybe even more 
).
To each his own. My PC is pretty pimping and will probably explode just trying to run Crysis 2 on medium upon release (and I dont even know the specs yet.....
