I love your eloquence, but the fact of the matter is that your language use is ill-suited to the medium. In terms of linguistics, every demographic has it's own conventions and stylization. One of the very reasons for language evolution comes from the anonymity of the internet itself!
In society, it's easy to classify people based on accent, posture, and regional dialect. However, on the internet, all these things are gone. As such there has grown two environmental stresses.
That of typing quickly, and that of being able to discern commonalities quickly.
While I hate memes as much as the next, this internet dialect is very interesting. It's fascinating.
For example, the word facepalm is another big word that has descended from 4chan. However, it is like how American media takes time to visit the rest of the world. People who actually frequent 4chan and other similar boards started using "palmface" instead, to differentiate themselves from the mainstream overuse that "facepalm" has seen. If someone says "palmface" you can immediately tell that they are more involved.
While your language use is beautiful, it is simply a reflection of your identity, and occasionally, it may present itself as a wedge rather than a mediator, depending on the demographic being addressed.  |
Yet your own argument, much more thought-out than the norm in this case, stands as proof of what I am doing: when language is used properly, it begets language being used properly.
I have already won this particular battle, just in getting you to speak to me this way.
