ENGLISH VERSION - http://www.nintendo.co.jp/ir/pdf/2007/070426e.pdf

For the fiscal year beginning April 1, 2007, Nintendo projects sales of 14 million Wii systems and 55 million games worldwide.

That's a 20 million prediction by the end of next fiscal year, Johnlucas is a bit optimistic (by 3 months) with his 20 million number, but not bad. That gives 1.2 million produced and sold a month.

The company projects sales of 22 million Nintendo DS hardware unit sales and 130 million software units sales. Nintendo forecasts consolidated sales increasing nearly 18 percent to 1.14 trillion yen, and operating profits growing nearly 20 percent to 270 billion yen.

“ Nintendogs ”
continued to enjoy favorable sales overseas, reaching a total of 6.95 million sales units (13.6 million units life-to-date).

Net income rose to 174.3 billion yen ($1.5 billion) in the year ended March 31, from 98.4 billion yen a year earlier, the Kyoto-based company said in a statement today. A greater-than- expected decline in the yen against the euro and dollar lifted profit by about 20 billion yen, the company said this month.

The company's touch-screen DS player and titles such as Nintendogs, an interactive pet game, are helping Nintendo secure its dominance over Sony Corp.'s PlayStation Portable device. The Wii console is also outselling Sony's PlayStation 3 by two to one in the U.S. and six to one Japan.
