well I got some facts arguing your topic title:

http://www.4players.de/4players.php/verkaufscharts/PC-CDROM/media_control.html
and
http://bignside.de/risen-fuhrt-download-verkaufe-an/10579

the first one is the official chart of Germany this week, the second one the result of an international download portal.

It had been obvious that Risen would stomp its competition in the very ground in Germany like its always with gothic, but the second one is quite surprising.
direct2drive.com is an international download portal, so this shows that piranha bytes has achieved broadening the brand into northern europe, not just like eastern europe and ofc germany, where the games always have been astonishingly successfull. compare it with monster hunter in japan.

if this trend continues, the brand will probably finally be able to rival the Elder Scroll series in its next iteration. piranha bytes next game can become the biggest WRPG brand in europe, whether namend risen or gothic or whatever.

the problem with the console version is that the game sets its focus on its huge and open world, you have ZERO loading times, every dungeon or house you enter is ONE PART of the world, which creates the unique atmosphere of the game. prob : xbox 360 and ps3 have veryvery little ram, which is the most needed in that department, so they had to cut on the graphics.

@ lostplanet22 : you fail

The fact that the 360 only has 512MB of ram would really cause slowdown if the graphics were PC quality. Microsoft really should release a RAM pack like the Nintendo 64 had. Although this would give off the impression that the 360 was weak with little ram. Though it couldn't hurt. Faster loading times and better and faster rendering times, plus better framerate. Doubling it to 1GB would seem to be more than enough for this.

Come on, this has nothing to do with the power of the Xbox360. Look at the games I can already play like Gears of War (2), Oblivion, Fable, CoD, Fallout etc and now compare those with Risen.... U see?

Risen is NOT a challenging game from a technical point of view. Obviously the developer didn't focus on the 360. I read so many times that this game was technically outdated on the 360. Too bad. I wanted to get this game, but I will not support lazy work.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...
